You all probably watched Harry Potter movies. Well, if you haven't watched it yet, then this is the perfect time for you to give it a shot. But why am I talking Harry Potter movies?
J.K. Rowling is one of my favourite authors and Harry Potter is my favourite film series. Her success story is an inspiration not only to those aspirant writers but also to those who want to be successful in life.
Rowling is a true embodiment of failure and success. As you would know, twelve publishing companies rejected Harry Potter before being accepted and published. She did not give up on her dreams. Life is full of challenges. We need to have lots of patience and perseverance to surpass them all.
It took more than fifteen years of writing to complete the Harry Potter novels. J.K. Rowling showed us to stay focused. In life, there are always these intervening variables that will keep us away from what we want to achieve in life. We need to keep our eyes wide open and direct our minds to take the right path to our dreams. Don't lose your focus.
Be patient. The Harry Potter series was not published right away after being accepted by the publishing company. However, when it was out of the market, the books have been sold for about five million copies and making it the bestselling book series all of time.
Sometimes in life, we tend to rush things. We are always in a hurry. Remember that when we rush on a certain thing, mistakes are made and correcting those mistakes will also take time.
Lastly, when you make a mistake, be open to feedback and criticisms. We are not perfect. J.K. Rowling is not perfect, too. But she accepted those negative feedbacks about her works. No matter what we do, someone will always have something negative to say about us. Don't let them stop you. Treat them as an opportunity to grow.
There are actually lots of lessons we can learn not just from J.K. Rowling but also from other writers and philosophers that we can use as inspiration in life. Sometimes, we appreciate those learnings if we have already gone through them. It makes us more strong and determined. However, we should not forget to take things easy. Let your own will direct you to the right path to success.
